The first stage of the XXIII International Student Film Festival PiterKiT starts on October, 19
The annual Festival will be held in two stages: the first stage (for SPUFT students) –October, 19-23, and the second stage (international) – November, 24-28 in the SPUFT's concert hall (Bukharestskaya street, 22) and in the creative space "Loft" (Pravdy street, 13).

Participants of the Festival will have an opportunity to communicate with the stars of cinema and television, famous directors, scriptwriters as well as to watch the works of future professional filmmakers, some of whom have already made a name for themselves and became winners of many film festivals. Discussion of the works with authors, critics and masters of cinematography will allow participants to understand the tendencies of modern domestic and foreign film production.
The President of the Festival is traditionally represented by Mikhail Boyarsky, Soviet and Russian theatre and cinema actor, singer, Honoured and People's Artist of the RSFSR.
The General Producer of the PiterKiT Festival is Natalia Gorina, member of the Russian Union of Cinematographers, candidate of philological sciences, chairperson of the Artistic Council of the University.
Chairman of the jury of the Festival’s first stage is Oleg Trofim, a graduate of SPUFT, Russian film director, screenwriter, producer and musician, winner of Russian and international competitions and awards.
The jury members of the first stage of the Festival are represented by: Darya Melnikova, non-fiction film director, screenwriter, curator, animation director; Sergey Tsikhanovich, cameraman, director; Innokenty Sivtsev, film and television sound engineer and Evgenia Igumnova, Russian theatre, film, television and voiceover actress.
This year the PiterKiT Festival accepts feature-length debut feature films created by graduates of professional film schools between 2020 and 2023 for the second time. The best work will be chosen by students through audience voting.
The winners will receive prizes in 17 categories.
The programme of the first stage of the Festival includes:
- Opening ceremony (October, 19, 18:30 Bukharestskaya, 22, gathering of guests starts at 18:00);
- Master-class of the chairman of the jury of the first stage, Russian director, scriptwriter, producer and musician Oleg Trofim "The Way of a Young Director" (21 October, 11:00, 22 Bucharestskaya Street);
- Master-class of the artist-director of “Soyuzmultfilm” Yulia Evdokimova How to Create Your Own Animation Series (October, 21, 13:00, 22 Bucharestskaya Street);
- Master class of Natalia Gorina, general producer of "PiterKiT", member of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Chairman of the Artistic Council of the University (October, 22, 10:00, 22 Bucharestskaya Street);
- Master-class of director Evgeny Grigoriev From Idea To Result (October, 22, 12:00, 22 Bucharestskaya Street);
- Master-class of Danila Ippolitov The Way of a Young Producer (October, 23, 11:00, 13 Pravdy St., Loft)
- Closing ceremony of the first stage of the Festival, award ceremony (23 October, 18:00, 22 Bukharestskaya Street, gathering of guests starts at 17:30).
